AMD users are in for a great treat as the company that “revolution(izes) your gaming experience” has decided to offer free games to verified and eligible users in an attempt to congratulate owners of specific AMD made CPUs and GPUs for their purchase. Candidates only have to visit AMD’s official website, sign-in or create an account after which they will be promoted to download AMD Product Verification Tool.

Once the product is validated, users will be provided with a link to a portal page via e-mail sent by AMD. However, users may return to the Home page and select “redeem my Game Key Code” from the main menu. Click on “Refresh” to proceed with the redemption process to select your game.

The news comes from Reddit, where a user shared the promotion via a post. There are a handful of games to choose from, which have been listed below:

  • Far Cry 3
  • Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon
  • Dirt 3
  • Saints Row IV
  • Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed
  • Guacamelee
  • LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham
  • Napoleon – Total War
  • Sid Meier’s Beyond Earth
  • DiRT Rally
  • Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack
  • DYAD
  • Space Run

As for where pre-order bonuses are concerned, sadly users wont find any luck there as AMD clearly states ” Pre-Order bonuses are typically for purchased titles only, and are not included as part of the AMD promotion.”

The eligible AMD products range from the Fx-9590 to A10-7300. A complete list has been provided below.

The computer systems that are eligible for the offer include systems manufactured and branded by the following vendors:

The offer officially started on February 15th and ends on December 31st so you guys have alot of time in hand to make your game selection. However, some users are facing problems in regards with redeeming their free game. AMD has responded to the issue by setting up a contact support. The game keys that users may receive may either be from Origin, Steam or Uplay, and are not exchangeable.

The step is definitely a positive one, although many have shown discontent over the lack of choice AMD is offering but non the less this is a great move by the company in-order to promote themselves as consumer friendly and in a sense give back to the community that supports them.

AMD has been very lucky in recent times, such as, with their decision to shift manufacturing from Taiwan to South Korea the company has saved it self from the harm caused by the recent earthquake in the region that may affect Nvidia negatively.
